Formation

Just as our children return to school each year to continue learning and growing, Faith Formation is an ongoing journey that deepens year after year. St Damien of Molokai Faith Formation program exists to help every member of our community—children, teens, and adults—grow in a living, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are blessed to love a God who is ever-expansive, always inviting us to know Him more deeply. The more we come to know Jesus, the more we desire to grow closer to Him. Faith Formation is not simply about learning facts or memorizing prayers. While catechesis includes teaching the truths of our faith, it is much more than information—it is transformation. It is about forming the whole person: heart, mind, and soul.

Discipleship formation is the lifelong process of growing in love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. As our relationship with God matures, it becomes richer and deeper through every stage of life. Through prayer, Scripture, the sacraments, service, and community life, we learn not only what the Church teaches, but how to live as faithful disciples.

Our Faith Formation program provides opportunities for all ages to grow:

Children’s Formation – Building a strong foundation of faith through engaging lessons, prayer, and sacramental preparation.

Youth Ministry – Helping teens encounter Christ personally and integrate faith into daily life.



Adult Formation – Offering studies, small groups, and ongoing catechesis to continue growing in understanding and discipleship.

We believe our children deserve a vibrant relationship with God and a strong connection to the faith community they are called to be part of. We also believe that faith formation never truly ends. Whether you are just beginning your journey or have been walking with the Lord for many years, there is always more to discover.

We invite you to explore the many opportunities within our parish, become involved, and allow the Lord to set your faith on fire, just as He did for the disciples on the Road to Emmaus. Let us walk with you as you grow deeper in communion with Jesus Christ
